Hawke’s Bay Wine Country is New Zealand’s leading wine growing area. We at the gift barn often use these wines for our gift boxes and gift baskets. Located on the middle of the east coast of the NI, the landscapes of Hawke’s Bay begins with the high forested Ruahine and Kawkeka Ranges. From the high mountains the land sweeps down towards the sea, flattening out to become the Heretaunga Plains. There are several excellent rivers for fishing and swimming. The beaches which stretch from the top of Hawkes Bay to far the south.

Hawke’s Bay is the oldest winemaking region in New Zealand, leading producer of award winning red wines. Hawke’s Bay is also home to first class concentration of art deco. The fresh local produce and artisan food producers complemented by a vibrant arts scene and Maori culture. Thereis jet boating on the rivers or you can cycle between wineries. Go hot air ballooning at sunrise or surfing. Paraglide off Te Mata Peak, hike or take a leisurely journey along one of the seventeen heritage trails. You can hunt in the ranges, fish for trout or play golf at one of the twenty golf courses.
